The workbooks may be completed in any order. You don't have to start with volume one if another subject interests you more. As soon as your child can read or write, he or she is ready for Homeschool Huskies and Ponies, all the way up through 9th or 10th grade. The use of library books allows you to adjust the reading level to suit your child and use the studies with several different ages at the same time.

With the same familiar format as Volumes One, Two, and Three, Volume Four: Wildlife Patches introduces boys and girls to scientific classification, geographic range, tracking and external anatomy as they study a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. Every question in this volume can be answered with a set of encyclopedias and a field guide. All answers are given, there's no need for a Teacher's Guide. This study also includes a selection of science projects for each of the three sections (one for birds, one for mammals and one for reptiles). Add some library books with lots of pictures, and these studies become fascinating!
